Why it happens
Gum tissue that never fully receded after the teeth erupted, a high lip line, or teeth that are short because the gum covers part of them. The cause decides the treatment.
Laser gum contouring
For excess gum tissue, a dental laser reshapes the gum line tooth by tooth, sealing as it works. Local anaesthesia, a single visit, and mild tenderness for a few days.
Planning the new line
The gum line is designed on photographs and a 3D scan so that each tooth shows its natural length and the curve is symmetrical. If the lip or jaw is the cause, a different treatment is explained honestly.
