The presenting problem
A smile that looked uneven on camera. The obvious answer would have been veneers across the front teeth. The examination found something else underneath: a bite that loaded some teeth more than others and had worn them unevenly.
The diagnosis
Fixing the surface without correcting the cause would have produced veneers that chipped under the same forces. The plan addressed the bite first, then restored the worn teeth to the corrected position.
The lesson
A diagnosis is not a formality before treatment; it is the treatment’s foundation. For a public figure whose smile is his working tool, getting that first step right was what made the result last.
