Why the foundation matters
The crown is what patients see; the implant position, the bone around it and the gum thickness are what decide whether it lasts. Every implant in the clinic is planned from a 3D scan with the final crown designed first.
The process
Placement under local anaesthesia, grafting first if bone is missing, a healing period while the implant integrates, then a crown, bridge or full arch designed digitally to fit.
Lifetime care
Implants need the same hygiene as teeth and, for grinders, a night guard. With healthy gums and regular reviews, decades of service are realistic; the crown on top may be renewed earlier, like any restoration.
