What are clear aligners?
A series of removable, nearly invisible trays, each worn for one to two weeks, that move the teeth gradually. For crowding, spacing and many bite problems they replace fixed braces entirely.
Who do they suit?
Mild to moderate crowding or spacing, relapse after earlier orthodontics, and adults or professionals who cannot wear visible braces. For some complex movements, fixed braces or a combined plan remain better — the examination tells you honestly.
Straighten first, beautify second
In cosmetic dentistry, aligners are often the first stage: straightening first means fewer or thinner veneers later, or none at all. They are planned inside the full smile design so the final position of the teeth is exactly where the smile needs them.
How long does it take?
From a few months for minor corrections to eighteen months or more for complex cases. A digital simulation shows the estimate and the expected result before you start.
Commitment and retainers
Aligners only work when worn 20 to 22 hours a day; discipline matters more than the brand. Retainers follow at the end, usually at night, because teeth move at any age.
Frequently asked questions
Are they really invisible? Nearly; small tooth-coloured attachments are sometimes needed and are barely noticeable.
Can I have veneers instead of straightening? Sometimes, but straightening first usually means less enamel removal and a better long-term result.
